Our journey began with a profound inspiration sparked by extensive research into the time-honored use of frankincense and myrrh. This exploration led to the birth of 'Suad Silkroad,' a homegrown enterprise that took root in Ottawa, Canada, in April 2017. What started as a research endeavor has blossomed into a small-scale herbal and natural skincare manufacturing company.

During our immersive study of frankincense and myrrh, we uncovered the rich tradition of Somali herbal medicine. As a family, we made the decision to reconnect with our Somali heritage, delving deep into the history and benefits of these aromatic treasures. In January 2018, Suad Silkroad's inaugural branch, 'Dhulkii Lubaanta' or 'Land Of Punt,' was established in Garowe, Puntland, Somalia.

Somalia's legacy as a land of camels, frankincense, myrrh, and other cherished incenses harks back to its pivotal role as a hub on the ancient Silk Road trade routes. Centuries later, we take pride in being a part of this timeless trade legacy.
